I believed this round of test, I have Successfully modified the SteemPress Plugin Footer HTML code to the way I wanted.
In this test, you will realize that the footer will have two lines. The first line is consist of an anchor text “SteemPress” which leads to the Plugin website URL. Whereas the second line is the anchor text “Original Blog Post Link” which lead to the original WordPress Blog Post URL page.
This enhanced footer code is a very clean for a WordPress blog URL which is very long ( as it captured the Blog title ). This is particularly useful for a Chinese Blog URL which has many numbers and the symbol %. The example of the Chinese blog URL is as follows:-
Posted from my blog with SteemPress : http://zhinengqigong.com.my/%e9%a9%ac%e6%9d%a5%e8%a5%bf%e4%ba%9a%e6%99%ba%e8%83%bd%e6%b0%94%e5%8a%9f%e5%ad%a6%e9%99%a2-%ef%bc%9a%e6%af%8f%e6%97%a5%e5%ad%a6%e4%b9%a0/%e5%85%83%e6%b0%94%e8%ae%ba/
The above HTML code still can work for the anchor text to lead to the correct blog page, but it is really too ugly. With a little of a tweak, you can see the modified HTML code as stated below:-
<center><em>Posted from my blog with <a href='https://wordpress.org/plugins/steempress/'>SteemPress</a> :
<a href="[%original_link%]">Original Blog Post Link </a> </center>
With this tweaked HTML code, the ugly numbers and % symbol is replaced by the anchor text -“Original Blog Post Link”. As such, the enhanced footer is considered as successful. And the result is as below:-
Original Blog Post Link
I find this modified HTML code has given the desired result stated above. You can take this modifed code and make changes to the anchor text “Original Blog Post Link”.
Please feel free to comment if you have any
